Why is called a #1?

Collectors refer to the first Ponytail Barbies® in the order that Mattel made them - thus the first Barbies® made by Mattel are called #1's and the second one made a #2's and so on.

What is the Difference from a #1 Ponytail and #2?

There is very little visual difference between a #1 and #2 ponytail except that a #2 DOES NOT have the copper tubes in her feet. Although usually harder to find, #2's do not appear to be as popular as the #1.
